Primary Purpose:

Normandy Schools Collaborative is seeking Summer School Teachers(s). Summer School Teacher(s) will be providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth This temporary position is responsible for assisting with ensuring a positive and productive learning environment, and collaborating with building leadership to achieve the program's educational goals.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment conducive to student success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to ensure effective implementation of the summer school program.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and performance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and instructional best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to equity and diversity in education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Valid teaching license/certification.

  • Previous teaching experience, preferably in a summer school or intervention 

    setting.
